Mr Trash Wheel Baltimore Box: The perfect holiday gift!

BBI like my holidays to start after the last holiday ends. I’m grumpy like that. So my Halloween themed front window will become a fall/thanksgiving themed window and the weekend after Thanksgiving (no sooner), we’ll get winter wonderland-y. I complain when I see Christmas trees in October, and groan when I hear holiday music before December.

That said, when I find a good deal or that perfect gift, I purchase it with no regard to the day of the year (thank you Under Armour warehouse sale). So when I saw that Baltimore in a Box is teaming up with the Waterfront Partnership for the new Canton Water Wheel, I took notice (ignore this out-of-state friends. you definitely won’t be getting one of these…)

The Mr. Trash Wheel Baltimore Box will donate $10 from each box to the Canton Water Wheel. In fact, Mr. Trash Wheel helped pick out the items for the box himself!

The Mr. Trash Wheel Baltimore box includes:

  • Berger Cookies
  • Old Bay Seasoning
  • UTZ Crab Chips
  • Fishers Popcorn
  • Zekes Coffee
  • Digital Painting of Mr Trash Wheel (8″x10″)
  • Mr Trash Wheel Sticker and Button
  • and the knowledge you are helping to fund a machine that can collect up to 38,000 lbs of trash in a single day.

Shipping begins on 11/9/15 but you can delay the shipping if you’d like to be a little closer to the holidays or order it as a just because gift.

If you’re like me, you might be waiting for that frantic “there’s only two days left to shop” feeling to take hold of you before hitting the stores.  Shake that off, and get crackin’.

This Saturday is Small Business Saturday (henceforth known as SBS).  Last year, over 100 million people came out to shop at independently-owned small businesses on SBS. When you spend money at locally-owned businesses there is three times the impact on your community then if you spent at your funds at national chains. When shopping locally, you are creating jobs, funding more city services through sales tax, and investing in neighborhood improvement while promoting community development.

Looking for ideas? Here are some items that can be picked up on SBS that are sure to brighten your loved one’s holiday.

Dress Mom up with a sparkly clutch:

Poppy & Stella Hobo International Clutches

Add some character to your Dad’s desk with some Ravens:

Su Casa in Fells

Pick up a Canton hot spot brick to reminisce your first date & your love:

2910 On The Square

Make Fido a brand new bed (with fabric that compliments your crib):
