We are a day out from December. The holiday season is upon us (or bearing down on us, whichever you prefer). Check out the many ways you can get your holiday cheer on.

Highlandtown Holiday Kick-Off Celebration 

December 1st

This Friday, kick off your holidays with the Grand Tree lighting at Conkling and Eastern Ave! Come early (5 p.m.) for free photos with Santa, hot cocoa, Hoehn’s Cookies, live music and games & prizes.  You won’t want to miss the Highlandtown Train Garden Opening at 6:30 p.m., afterward stroll the neighborhood for the First Friday Holiday Art Walk and visit galleries, shops and restaurants until 9


Fells Point Olde Tyme Christmas and 30th Annual Baltimore Parade of Lighted Boats

December 2nd

Walk over to Fells Point for a traditional Christmas celebration that promises to delight! St. Nick arrives in Fell’s Point via tugboat at 9 a.m. and stays all day. You can check out the full schedule here. There will be an Eggnog Contest, kids art zone, caroling and the lighting of the tree at 5:30 p.m. Following the tree lighting, you won’t want to miss Baltimore’s annual Lighted Boat Parade. Consisting of more than 50 vessels, the event benefits the Marine’s “Toys for Tots” annual Christmas campaign.


Pagoda Lighting

December 3rd

This free event boasts live music, food trucks, local gift vendors, kid’s craft table, Santa, a toy drive sponsored by Exchange Club of Highlandtown and more!



Lamp Post Lighting Ceremony

December 8th

The 11th Annual Lamp Post Lighting Ceremony hosted by O’Donnell Square and Smalltimore brings you live music, Santa, free hot chocolate, caroling and adult beverages! Be ready to vote. There is both a homebrew competition and a lamp post decorating contest. Santa arrives at 6:15 p.m.
