It’s November, which means the more overzealous among us are already prepping for the holidays. Luckily, this weekend is full of events that would make even the most scrooge-like among us want to engage in some holiday prep. Pair shopping for gifts with dogs, wine, and a good cause. Or just forgo all of that and spend the weekend tasting all of the local brews.

Wings of Love Kuwait Adoption Event at 2910 on the Square

This Saturday, November 4 head to 2910 on the Square and get some puppy kisses (or perhaps a new, furry, forever friend).  Wings of Love, Kuwait is hosting an adoption event at the local gift shop from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Stop by to peruse the store and dogs from the volunteer organization that brings over adoptable dogs from Kuwait. Who knows? Maybe you’ll bring home a new pup just in time for the holidays!

Vino en Vogue in Harbor East

Harbor East is no stranger to frequent shoppers, but this Saturday there is extra incentive to visit: wine. Vino en Vogue is an afternoon of wine tasting and shopping on Saturday, November 4 from noon to 4 p.m. Select neighborhood venues will host tasting tables along the sidewalks of Harbor East, with sommeliers and wine experts offering pours of various wines from their respective programs. Tickets range from $35 to $60.

Patterson Park Brew Fest

Where can you taste all of the local brews, in one place, and decide which one to serve at your holiday party? Head to Patterson Park this Saturday, November 4 from noon to 6 p.m. Enjoy live music from Jah Works and Caleb Stine, delicious eats from food trucks, a family zone, and over 40 local beers. Tickets are $15 to $65. Kids under 16 are free.
