Fall has fallen. Or at least it feels like it, because this weekend is covered in all things fall. It’s anchored by the Fell’s Point Fun Festival, and continues with a craft beer festival and pet photos for fall. Of course, it wouldn’t be a fall weekend without a wake for Edgar Allen Poe. Fall for it, Canton, cause it’s the weekend.

51st Fell’s Point Fun Festival

Clear your calendar. A giant, free party is taking over the cobblestoned streets of Fell’s Point, and it’s a Fun Festival. Join the crowd on Saturday, October 7 and Sunday, October 8. Come early on Saturday for a hot sandwich from the farmer’s market, grab a drink and walk through the streets, and hit up entertainment throughout the day at two stages. Browse local vendors, pop into your favorite bar, and enjoy a stroll waterside. Festivities kick off at 11 a.m. Saturday and run until 8 p.m. Sunday.

Baltimore Craft Beer Festival at Canton Waterfront Park

Break out some plaid, start your day with a gourd-flavored hot beverage, and then do one of the other things that is quintessentially fall: drink craft beer with your friends. The Baltimore Craft Beer Festival features over 40 Maryland craft breweries, live dueling bands, local food vendors, trivia, yoga, corn hole, and craft vendors. There’s also a home brew competition. Tickets run from $15 (designated driver) to $55 (VIP). Come and get your craft on Saturday, October 7 from noon to 5 p.m.

Pet Photo Fundraiser at Monument City Brewing

Get your furry friend’s fall portraits out of the way and grab a frothy glass of Monument City beer while you’re at it. The event, held Saturday, October 7 from noon to 3 p.m., benefits Shore Service Dogs. One of the service dogs named Sammy is battling an aggressive form of Lymphoma. All proceeds from the photo shoot go to this cause. Photos are $15 per pet (humans included), and you receive two edited digital images. Enjoy drinks, socializing, and browse through homemade pet costumes from other pet vendors. Sounds like the perfect, pet-friendly fall afternoon!

10th Annual Edgar Allen Poe Wake at Annabelle Lee’s

On the heels of it’s re-opening, Annabelle Lee’s is throwing it’s signature event this Sunday, October 8. Edgar Allan Poe died in Baltimore on October 7, 1849. Join Annabelle Lee’s as they host their 10th annual wake in his honor. Beginning at 8 p.m., Poe impersonator David Keltz will perform a selection of Poe’s works. Reservations are recommended.
