Charm City Roller Girls: Tails and Ales Dog Washing at Monument City Brewing

Does Fido need a bath? Do you need a beer? On Saturday, August 26th, head to Monument City Brewing Company and get both done at one event. The Charm City Roller Girls are hosting their first ever Tails and Ales event from noon to 4 p.m. Each dog wash is $10 and includes a bandana (while supplies last) to pretty up your pup up. Drop your dog off at the washing station, grab a beer, browse merchandise and dog toys, and support Charm City Roller Girls. Everybody wins.

3rd Annual Hopped Homebrew Competition at Birroteca

There’s something magical about home brew. Nepenthe Homebrew understands that, and they are bringing home brewed suds to the masses this Saturday, August 26 from noon to 4 p.m.  Birroteca is kindly hosting the hopeful homebrewers. $25 gets you entry into the event, unlimited samples of home brews and the ability to help pick the next homebrew champion. The homebrewers will battle using 4 mystery ingredients. Food from Birroteca is available for purchase.

Pics in the Park: La La Land in the Inner Harbor

Enjoy one of your last free summer nights watching an Oscar-winning film at Pics in the Park this Saturday, August 26. Sing (or dance) along with La La Land in Center Plaza at the second-to-last flick of this free outdoor movie series. Bring your own picnic basket, blanket, or lawn chairs and friends (or family). Show starts at 8 p.m.

Highlandtown Mural Walk with Michael Owen

Michael Owen, who paints the LOVE (hands) murals around the city, is an artist who brings happiness to loads of Baltimore City residents daily. This Sunday, August 27 he will bring you even more happiness: he’s leading a tour around Highlandtown to show off the neighborhood’s murals. Repair the World: Baltimore is hosting this free, public walking tour, which begins at 2 p.m. Meet at 3700 Eastern Avenue at the Repair the World Baltimore workshop to begin the tour.
