With this heat and our AC on the fritz, ice cream has been near and dear to my heart. I have been anxiously awaiting the opening of Bmore Licks since I spied their mural of delicious ice cream treats painted on 2437 Eastern Ave. The wait is over. Bmore Licks is opening Friday (July 21st) to cool off the masses. (Though you might have already seen a line outside sampling the soft serve twist!)
Bmore Licks is a family-owned ice cream shop that features homemade hard ice cream made onsite, sundaes, snowballs, and 100+ flavors of both soft serve and milkshakes. Yes, you read that correctly. 100+ flavors of soft serve. Every day. The owners come from a family of ice cream makers and will be sharing family recipes and adding new flavors!
We tried the hard coffee oreo and peanut butter oreo in a homemade waffle cone. SO GOOD. I also applaud the cone construction. I’m a slow ice cream eater and it didn’t leak.
Vegan or lactose intolerant? No problem. They serve vegan ice cream, offering at least two flavors made with coconut milk and almond milk. Currently they have peanut butter oreo and orange pineapple on tap with more to come! Gluten free cones are on their way as well.
On four legs? No problem. They have two options for our furry friends. Vanilla and peanut butter. You can even use their side window to order your treats as you take your dog for their daily walk.
Rather an icy treat? No problem. Options galore (also vegan).
Indecisive? You might have a problem. There have tons of options to choice from. You might just have to throw a dart at the board and leave it to fate but I can’t see you with order regret.
I can’t wait to come back and try the ice cream tacos and nachos. They will also be serving coffee in a cone. Imagine a cone dipped in layers of espresso chocolate then filled with coffee. You drink the coffee and eat the cone. Double win.
Future plans include early Saturday and Sunday morning openings with doughnuts and coffee from Diablo Doughnuts.
We loved the outside mural and the decor inside doesn’t disappoint. This is a great addition to the neighborhood! Current hours will be 12-9 p.m., but check their Facebook and instagram page for updates!
