This weekend includes some of our favorite summer activities: swimming outside with neighbors, celebrating our LGBTQ friends, listening to free music in Patterson Park, and finally, drinking wine. It’s the weekend Canton, so savor it.

Twilight Swim at Patterson Park

You know the drill: gather your neighborhood friends (adults over 21+), don a swimsuit, and head to Patterson Park for the first twilight swim of the season, this Friday, June 16. The party goes from 8 to 11 p.m. It’s $5 to enter, and $2 for a cooler. Glass is strictly prohibited. Come early (7:30 is when they’ll start selling tickets) to grab a good spot. A DJ will also be spinning and taking requests.

3rd Annual Baltimore Wine Fest

Winos, get ready to sip. B Scene Events & Promotions is back for a third year at Canton Waterfront Park with the Baltimore Wine Fest. Spend the day (Saturday, June 17) sipping over 160 wines from around the world, sampling gourmet eats, watching chef demonstrations, listening to live music and hopping between vendors and wine seminars. The event kicks off at noon and goes until 7 p.m. Tickets range from $15 to $89.

Baltimore Pride 2017

Baltimore’s LGBTQ community and allies should head to lower Charles Village or Druid Hill Park this weekend to enjoy two days of festivities on Saturday, June 17 and Sunday June 18. Saturday events in Charles Village include a block party, high heel race, and a youth pride zone. Sunday will host a festival and elder pride at Druid Hill Park. Grab your rainbow everything and join in on the festivities!

Summer Concert in Patterson Park

Take your father (or a father) to Patterson Park’s pagoda this Sunday, June 18 and enjoy a free concert. Juanita Ca$h will play the park, putting her spin on the music of Johnny Cash. Admission is free, and plenty of snacks will be available for sale as well. Feel free to bring your own picnic.
