Currently there is a critical shortage of blood. Donors are needed now to meet patient needs. Our neighbors are making it easy for your to help! St. Casimir will be hosting a blood drive this Sunday, January 8th from 9-2:30 p.m.
The blood drive will be held in St. Anthony Hall (which is on O’Donnell St. to the right of the church, when looking at the front of the church). We’ve donated at this drive in the past. It’s super convenient and well-run.
Interested donors can contact Kate McCarthy at 845-598-4789 to schedule a donation or sign up online at http://www.redcross.org/give-b
Think that you giving blood doesn’t make a difference?
1 pint of blood can save up to 3 lives. In fact after your donation, you’ll get an email telling you where your blood was donated.
In fact, every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood! A single car accident victim can require as many as 100 pints of blood, let alone someone with sickle cell disease who might require blood transfusions throughout their lives. Blood is needed. You have extra blood. Sign up to donate now!
