First, the owners Waterfront Kitchen announced their highly anticipated Canton Crossing concept, Farmstead Grill, a mission-driven-200 seat restaurant featuring locally-sourced ingredients.
Now, a new Italian fast, casual restaurant is rumored to be putting down its East Coast roots at Canton Crossing in early 2014.
Fazoli’s, a Kentucky-based franchise that does “Italian Fast-Food” will be trying out a new fast casual concept – different from their current fleet 217 restaurants in 26 states – at Canton Crossing, according the website, FastCasual.com.
The concept allows diners to pick a piada, pasta, or salad, and then select from several meat and vegetable options. Piadas and pastas would come with tons of topping and cheese options. Desserts would include mini tiramisu parfaits and cinnamon sugar bomboloni, and wine and beer options would also be available.
It’s all part of a “Venti-Tre” concept that Fazoli’s will bring to Baltimore first, and then 5-7 additional locations.
Just another dining option to add to the repertoire. The Canton restaurant scene better step up its game.
